This guy was the highest watched news anchor in modern times. I imagine he's hot property at the moment and the suspicion is that Fox will try to stop him working for someone else for the remainer of his contract. I doubt that will work personally.

Personally I agree with him on a lot of what he says, pretty much all of what he says here.

I watched it and thought it was more than a little scary. It was just a diatribe of end-to-end conspiracy theories presented with total conviction that this was the unarguable truth. It reminded me of Andrew Torba. If this is what he really believes then I can understand why Fox needed to remove him.

What did he say that was a conspiracy theory?

You just continually say this....some might be forgiven for thinking it's a tactic.

The idea that things like war, civil liberties, emerging science, demographic change, corporate power and natural resources don't get debated on TV because they aren't "permitted" by the political parties, and their donors, colluding to ban them. Then that the USA looks increasingly like a "one-party state".Then he talks of this being imposed by force.

That's enough, isn't it? These things are discussed regularly. Not maybe in the way he approves of, but that's different. The idea that there is any collusion between the two parties is transparent nonsense. These are nothing but conspiracy theories. Just opinions from a particular view of what might be. Not what is.

Frankly, you don't have a clue what is going on in the world.

You cling to a vain hope that everything is as it appears (according to the BBC) and that our governments are honest and acting for the betterment of society.

You are in a tiny minority of the terminally naive.

Honestly I don't really know what to say here.

Look, there are plenty of people who disagree with Carlson on plenty of stuff who agree with the obvious realities of what you....weirdly call conspiracy theory. Most of it isn't even denied and exists only as word play.

As for 'debate'.....I don't know what you think passes for the word 'debate' today but it seems to only encompass heavily restricted opinions.

Considering the freedom of speech the generation that raised you enjoyed for actual real debates, frankly I find it weird. You are definitely out of synch with most of them on these matters.

Coming from you that is risible. You hold the weirdest of conspiracy theories to be true and believe we are all headed to some kind of dystopian future unless people who hold your worldview take control. It's untrue and you won't. For both I give thanks.

That you don't think they are conspiracy theories is only to be expected, given the kind of sources you use. You are much more aligned with the right in the USA than you are with most of us here, or with reality. The right in the USA are a seriously odd bunch. I have spent time with some of them and although they are often extremely pleasant company it's often very difficult to follow their political logic. Many have no direct experience of other cultures, let alone care that they exist.

So these just aren't "obvious realities"! They are the twisted logic of those with a peculiar mindset.

There is loads of programming, and articles, which examine these issues in depth. Not made by spotty youths behind a camera in their basement but by proper journalists doing research and carrying out interviews. There are ways these then get reviewed and discussed. You won't see them because you reject the MSM as a biased source. Do you not understand that what you claim is being done to us, is actually being done to you. Step back and consider the veracity of the sources you use, and how they can be guaranteed. There is evil at play in the West. Our confidence in our institutions is being undermined. You think that is because those institutions have become rotten. I think someone is feeding you, and those who stoke your fires, those thoughts.

It's like hearing the thoughts of a soviet commissar.

Have you ever been to Russia?

The Soviet system might be officially dead but the types who ran it are still in control. I don't defend the "state" come what may. I defend the truth and common sense and I criticise bs. Any Russian doing that would quickly be in hot water.

Errr....no you don't, you just defend whatever the establishment wants and pretty much call all opposition conspiracy.

Oh here's another conspiracy theory happening down in Aussie.

President Biden visited Ireland and was féted and treated like the new Messiah. Chasing the Irish-american vote. Cynically supporting the 'RA , at a time when the 'RA are still controversial in the South. Many Irish-americans also have simplistic views on Northern Ireland - views that do not bear out the reality on the ground. Biden's dribbling rambling speeches and microphone gaffes are indicative of a man promoted above his station. It reminds me of medieval Royalty involving a blinking idiot who was in post cos he had the right kind of blood flowing in his veins. Meanwhile the real power was wielded behind the throne.

Trump will soon visit Ireland, chasing the same votes. He will probably get arrested by the cops and pilloried by RTE. Simultaneously i expect the views of Trump, on Ulster, to be subtle, nuanced and a bit more intelligent. Trump's peacemaking on Spanish Sahara was in great contrast to the warmongering of Biden & co.

Conspiracy of shady powers ? its not whether it exists, it's whether it has won overall or can ever be overthrown.

The video footage beamed into the US was of a Biden deeply loved by his irish brethren........which was pure fantasy. He is probably up there with Leo Varadkar or Sadiq Khan regarding the number of people who loathe him.
