Todays first download is a set by Blur that was recorded at the Monash University, Melbourne, Australia in 1997. This is in superb quality and is an excellent soundboard recording. Good quality boots by Blur are quite rare and I only have a few myself. This is an wicked set with some of the bands best known songs being played. Todays second download is a set by Dr Hook & The Medicine Show that was recorded in 1972 on Shel Silverstein's Houseboat Jam in Sausalito, California. This is the first bootleg or album by this band that I've posted. I remember their single "Sylvia's Mother" in the early 70's - I seem to remember it did quite well, and they followed it up with a few more hit singles. This is only a very short set and they play their first hit "Sylvia's Mother"... cant believe it was over 40 years ago..... Todays first download is a set by REO Speedwagon that was recorded in Grand Rapids, Missouri in 1990. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from an FM Broadcast of the show on Westwood One FM. I've only posted a few boots by this band in the past and only a "Best Of" from the bands studio released albums. This is a top sounding show from the band and is thoroughly recommended. Todays second download is a set by a reformed Curved Air that was recorded at the Waterside Arts Centre, Sale, Manchester a couple of weeks ago. This is an audience recorded bootleg - but a really good one. I don't normally touch audience recorded boots, but this band are one of my all time favourites. Sonja Kristina on vocals and fronting the band as usual and this time she has Florian Pilkington-Miksa on drums - he was the original drummer for the band. Shame others like Darryl Way and Francis Monkman (The Long Good Friday) aren't in the line up as the band perform songs from their first few albums... If you like Curved Air - then give this one a try......
