I'm just at the same time getting concerned that we're letting the Silva option pass by without much of a conversation as to what he'd bring to the table and that requires a meeting. If nothing comes of a meeting then something may not fit, but please can we meet the man at least. I can't say I'll accept us being outbid by Watford. We pay Bakary Sako £60k for fack all so I expect us to pay to get a manager we want, if he appeals in the interview.

Perhaps he has decided he wants the manager to be British and wouldn't consider Silva or others for that reason. I hope not - it restricts us to either prising Dyche away from Burnley or else appointing someone s***e. I'd be very pi**ed off with Monk and if we end up with Woy or the wally with the brolly I'll be incandescent. Especially if it's for a stupid reason like that. OTOH if he looks at the pathetic showing Hull put out the other week at Selhurst and then on Sunday against Spurs he may have seen enough pish football to consider Silva too risky. Why is it you lot believe all the s*** the media put out but disbelieve what we are told by our own management team? For example, why SA resigned. Sorry if I missed it but when did anyone at Palace say we had not met with Silva or his agent? We know absolutely nothing factual about Palace's manager recruitment process and have not been told anything about how near or far we are from appointing someone.

Well nobody's said we were even interested in him in the first place, except for bookies and a bunch of "ITK" journos. I think for whatever reason Parish decided he didn't want Silva in the first place. Some of us thought he was a credible candidate, but what we think is academic.
