Probably another fabricated media exaggeration but ..........CRYSTAL PALACE TRACKING PELLEGRINO AS THEY HUNT FOR NEW BOSS

Crystal Palace are in need of a new manager ahead of the 2017/18 campaign, and have reportedly identified Mauricio Pellegrino as a potential option.

According to a report from Football Espana, the Eagles are looking to replace Sam Allardyce, who handed in his resignation on Tuesday, with the young manager after his impressive season at Deportivo Alaves.

However, despite Pellegrino showing his quality at the La Liga side this season, it looks as though he won’t be there in the new campaign as he seeks pastures new this summer.

It’s claimed by the report that fellow Premier League side Watford are keen on appointing Pellegrino this summer as they too look to find a replacement for their departed manager Walter Mazzarri.

The 45-year-old is sure to be a man in demand this summer and it would certainly take some persuading for Palace to lure him to Selhurst Park as they look to build ahead of the coming season.

According to BBC sport David orstein - monk departure hasn't nothing to do with palace job. There's a long list of candidates and he's not on it.

Has an excellent reputation in Spain.

What about: Roger Schmidt, Eduardo Berizzo, Martin Schmidt, or Christian Streich? All have done a good job at clubs similar to ours.

Mind you, I didn't want Allardyce and I was wrong on that.

The tweet or twit or t*** or whatever it's called is from David Ornstein of the BBC.

He is saying Gary Monk leaving Leeds is not because he is after the Palace job.

However, Palace have a long list of candidates, and he is on the list

If I was doing the recruiting I'd set out a clear criteria:

1) A manager with premiership experience
2) A manager that can come in and maintain and improve our style of play without the need for radical changes.

Hull were pathetic in the last few games so I'm not a fan of Silva.

Dyche and Ranieri tick both boxes.

There's not many others that fit the bill.
