Apparently the demand is so great there are likely to be forged tickets as well as people trying to find a way in without tickets and Liverpool fans with tickets for the home areas. According to the press that is the reason for the Police presence. It's about touts, forgeries and general ticket dodginess. Don't know why some people assumed it's because the Police think all scousers are scallies. On the same basis, I wonder if there will be Police at Fulham.

Hopefully , the Merseyside Police and Liverpool FC have advised any Liverpool fans not to travel without a ticket, and under no circumstance (winning the title or not) not to attempt any pitch invasion. All will be OK then if they adhere the advice, if they don't then they cannot say they were not told and any problems will be down to them .

Just read through the Palace v Liverpool thread on their fansite, seems to be plenty of scouse coming down without tickets,'lunch at Trafalger square' then on to local pubs/ground for the match. Mersey and Met police on duty for match and it seems they could be busy!.Will the powers that be never learn?, whoever thought that 8pm on a bank holiday was a good idea for this match is clearly nuts!. Why not a 5pm or even 3pm? kick off, SKY MNF that's why = £££ss. Really hope all goes well but won't be surprised if it doesn't.
