He may not be the best goalkeeper in the world, but what has he done personally to you ( to the best of my knowledge )to deserve the abuse you give him.

Might as well close the thread now! Libel - Jesus wept!!! I am an accountant, must be the first time anyone has ever been accused of libel for saying "he should be an accountant" I can just see the High Court now "The prosecution alleges Mr BG stated Mr Hennessy was a bit of a crap goalie" Not exactly Rumpole of the Bailey stuff is it! And let's assume for a moment it is libel, getting a fan site shut down is hardly going to endear him is it! Edited by robdave2k (12 Nov 2017 11.02am) The part of BGs post which could be construed as libel is where he says that WH is frightened of physical contact and that his parents thought that playing in goal would be safest for him. You can't just go around calling people a coward unless you have absolute proof of that. As I'm pretty sure BG did not grow up with Hennessey so knew him as a child or know what his parents thought so he is way out of order. I'm surprised at your post because I thought accountants were fairly intelligent people. I am a Mod on another sports site and I can assure you that a post like BG's would be removed immediately because it is fact that a libel action, if taken, would close the site and leave the owner facing a huge fine and legal costs if the complainant wins in court.

I now regret starting this thread! Had I known it would develop into a 'I hate WH' forum (thus extending under another title the long running 'Wayne Hennessey' thread) I would have refrained. There is one contributor on here who is alarmingly obsessive in his loathing of Hennessey and scornful, to put it mildly, of anyone disagreeing with him. We can, and usually do, beg to differ on all things Palace but the mods 'anything goes' attitude is demeaning the site. I know it is distasteful to wave an imaginary yellow card to the ref. but if it will moderate this person's irrational posts I suggest it be issued.

There is a reason I am not carded for being irrational and that is because what I say is closer to the truth that to irrationality. It’s a common view shared with people within the club and sports writers that I know. So bare that in mind before trying to stop the spread of the truth. It's a common view, which is to say, it's sn opinion. Opinion != truth. HTH. That it is bollocks is also a valid opinion.

You obviously missed Hennessey's display at Chelsea earlier in the year. No I was there. He did what we’ve all been asking of him for the past two years. Finally. One swallow does not a summer make. A decent goalie would be pulling off performances like that more often than not. Not just on the singular occasion.

Here’s another truth for you to chew on and get back to me about. We’ve picked up more points in the last 4 games without Hennesey in goal than we did from the last 13 games with him in goal. That sound irrational or crazy to you? Nothing to do with Zaha being back then?

It's also clearly an opinion, not a fact. Bearing in mind all the allusions towards Kevin Spacey that were made on the other thread in general talk before it was confirmed I think there is a bigger picture here.
