I think the point people like yourself and OP are missing is some dont actually appreciate being told what to say/how to say it. Its PC bulls***. Same as when people were calling Allardye BFS. Allardyce himself didn't care, still doesn't as I'm sure calling Hodgson Woy is probably water off a ducks back to him.
But even if it does offend him whats it got to do with you? No one is mocking you personally so pipe down.
Sadly you dont have a teacher to go running to so people will continue to call him what they wish.
For the record I have always just called him 'Hodgson' and dont ever remember using the term 'BFS' either but I certainly wouldn't give two hoots for you objections if I did!

For goodness sake this is a football forum, not a political party debate.
I got slaughtered on here by the PC brigade for a thread called "Awise Sir Woy" after the Chelsea game and was accused of insulting him. Maybe these people find Hol too much for them, if so here is a nice site for them to visit where they won't be offended. [Link]

Meanwhile, my friends and I will still call him Woy and chat about football on here.
Just enjoy being a Palace fan.

To be honest, i doubt any of us would call him Woy to his face... or would want too!

The fans love him, he is slowly getting the respect as a manager he wasn't getting from the start. Plus, i'm sure he has dealt with worse.

I really don't see the need to moan about it on a forum.

When did Sam tell you he didn't care ?

Also , if you never used BFS or Woy , then why are you getting upset for people that do ? Strikes me as that is nothing to do with you either.

Are you the teacher people go running to and ask you to post on their behalf ?

The old ‘don’t be offended on behalf of others’ excuse for being abusive. It’s like calling people snowflakes. Just a sound bite. Civilised society defends individuals and minorities that have a lesser voice.
