Shoving is what used to happen on the Holmesdale terrace in bygone days. It has been said that, West ham was visited either last year or before by some unruly palace "fans" looking for some bother. Also, spurs and man utd were given a bit of bother at their humble abodes. Edited by Park Road (15 Jun 2019 12.39pm)

What’s someone’s wife got to do with a bit of shoving or whatever at football? They're both crimes in the eyes of the law. And shoving someone's wife or other supporters are both still classified as assault.

Perhaps it would be very tedious if the debate gallivanted into 'Battery' and 'Tort Law'. In terms of 'Shoving', I recall in the days of the Holmesdale Terrace supporters were shoved when supporters cascaded down the terrace EG when singing "Knees up Mother Brown". Whilst this of course posed a danger there was no real intent to shove and cause any real harm to supporters in front.

Also it's about time the police made more of an effort to hammer the drug dealers etc, they're the real parasites of our time, not the lads in question.

If the allegations are accurate and that fireworks were hurled then of course those responsible need to be dealt with on the grounds of public safety.Maybe the incident was a tad more than just "Handbags".
