Goal the result of Roys insistence of inverted full backs conceding the wide space. Saints have played ball after ball to our full back positions knowing they will be vacant. I once asked Salako why Roy defends like that and his reply was that you can’t defend all of the pitch. Make of that what you will, but yes, we give away those areas of the pitch all of the time.
