I'm not sure/convinced with this. £220m for the club? Dont think so, Dollite rates us as £347m. As others have mentioned, the yanks & SP have an 18% holding each. So, Q? Did the yanks truly ringfence an investment of $50m each OR did they truly BUY shares into CPFC2010? The 'obscure' 46% of 'other's shares is a worrying aspect. This alledged takeover bid(out of the blue) is one designed to move the spotlight from the more important pressing g matters we have as a football club, ie manager & players. As ME is very prone to post 'smoke n mirrors'

Mmmm - more going on behind the scenes than we realised..!! Explains a lot around not appointing a Manager if all this has been going on in the background - reference to “advanced stages of negotiation” suggests these conversations have been ongoing for a while and nearing conclusion. We had Robert Franco investing £20M into the academy in March then added to the board - is he part of this consortium? You don’t just come out of nowhere and say here you are here’s £20M - unless there’s a “bigger picture in play”..!! So maybe these discussions have been ongoing for a while and maybe closer to conclusion than anticipated? Got to admit struggling to understand some of the negativity to this - LBH Blitzer and Harris have made it quite clear through their inertia that they do not intend investing any further for what ever reason. Here you have a consortium purportedly willing to invest £220M and that in COVID times, so that’s going to have a negative affect on the clubs overall value. So they’re not going to invest £220M and then watch it go down the toilet - they’ll have a plan in place that will include investment to protect and build on the initial investment to buy the club. If this is the case along with a new Manager and building on this seasons academy success I for one see it as exciting. Think the next week or so could be very interesting and revealing..!! COYP

Considering there were reports from Fifield and the like that we would be seeking third party investment for this summer - this could be where it's originating from. Perhaps he and a group of others are merely buying a stake in the club. Wouldn't be beyond plausibility that someone could buy out a portion or all of Harris' stake.
