The only possible upside is that we wouldn't need to buy a replacement who would likely cost us £40m plus wages etc.

But we may have to fork out a similar sum to replace players like Eze and Olise who will be well pissed off at the sums being paid to a fading star and are likely to want to leave to join a club where wages are in proportion to worth and not due to a chairman / player bromance

I also struggle to believe its true.

Especially given his reduced impact of late, seemingly more injuries and some alt attacking options at the club.

The being said I'd still like him to stay, but on closer to what he's on now

That's my reservation about it all. Especially if, and I am expectant, the likes of Olise and Eze become far more central and contributory towards our performances and points.

Where we were almost exclusively reliant upon Zaha before it was hard to argue against really. Not so much these days and going forward.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I wouldn't offer him any contract, and withdraw all offers, with the others going, 400/500k a week is more important to the club, there are plenty of players on their way up not down that we could go for, 150k a week over 36 months get you 28m

I don't think Wilf will stay and I'm getting to the stage where I think we need to move on. However, will it just end up with speculation every transfer window over someone else? The main thing about Zaha is we replace him with someone with the right attributes. I'm worried we'll be thinking that Ayew can do a job and that's sorted. Wouldn't exactly be the first time.

I hope we don't go for Sarr, he has never impressed me and isn't exactly tearing up the Championship.

Happy either way.. Wilf is a proven goal scorer who offers a threat and if he is played up front then he will most likely still be able to score goals for the next few years as well as being influential in a dressing room. He is ambitious and i think that is needed in a dressing room that has players which may just settle back and think its ok to relax. Compare him to Edouard who cost a princely sum and seems lazy/not up to speed and is rarely a threat... I'd pick Wilf any day. Club legend, also may come across positively with loyal players being offered more money than looking else where (that's just a different perspective.) Palace have struggled with players playing up front and a proven decent forward would cost a fortune. If he leaves then Palace have money to chuck at another forward which "could" end up being another Benteke/Edouard.

I don't think he will stay, I think he has enough money to look at trying his luck for the last of his years at a club that can offer him some accolades and possible trophy wins.

If he does stay, then I'm also happy.

What do you think of Reiss Nelson, free, still only 23, i like Jack Clarke, but Sunderland now 6th, i also think Semenyo will be a good player

I can almost hear Parish now . " We dont need to replace Wilf , we have a number of players that can play in that position, we stayed up with 7 games to spare , we dont need any more players "

What do you define as tearing up Championship?

He is their second top goal scorer and assists.

Yes you could say the numbers are nothing special but he is in a team which isn't great I believe they are in 13th

He currently has better stats compared to Wilf when he was in Championship.

Is he worth 30m no way.

Back onto the Wilf subject I find we look better without him now and he is not worth what we are paying him. (Not saying he is useless I could see him as a squad players at other clubs but not a starter)

The club needs to move on and to do with we need him to go.

Ditto for me. In my view we should replace Wilf with an out and out striker. We don’t need an expensive winger and we have a couple of young mavericks already so why spend on that position given we need a striker and we also of course have Ebiowei and Rak Sakyi waiting for a leg up into the first team squad.
