As we played well for most of the match, scored a goal after the three youngsters came on and nearly got an equaliser, why was it necessary for Roy to call them out publicly? I appreciate the disappointment but he should look at his own failings first before attacking others. Roy made the substitutions taking off Hughes who had made three of our chances (Ayew and Edouard shots and Guehi header) and two others to be replaced by youngsters with only 323 Premier League minutes between them. Furthermore, Roy must take some blame for the injuries caused by poor training methods, match preparation, overplaying players and match tactics. He knew what he was letting himself in for before agreeing to continue for another year but with five of the most highly sought after players in the EPL and a tremendous goalkeeper and some experienced Players he has worked with before he suspected it would be an easy ride. This is arguably the best squad he has had at Palace. There is no point in him now looking for more players since the Club will have plans to meet its own aspirations of developing young players for a profit, ground development and a new manager.

With regard to Hodgsons comments in his post match interview . What a solid down to earth manager we have. No bull s—t , factual , in particular with regard to what a player must have to play at this level. Absolutely clear on the fact we don’t have real options outside of the injured Oliza, and Eze, as subs or otherwise in the forward area. By Hodgson standards his gloves are off it seems as far as his employers are concerned, he won’t do another season and he is really saying ,if you want improvement this will not get it.

Does Hodgson have to go public to make a side swipe at his employers if that is what you are hinting at? In particular use youngsters to make that point? if so that's pretty cowardly imho. Once again, Roy didn't have to take the job, he's on record as saying he was done with PL football management. He's worked with Parish before, so he knows the score - what game is he playing?

I think this is all madness, including Roy’s comments. We were playing against an in form big club who are top of the league. Who like me was really happy at half time, we gave it a good go and restricted them. If it wasn’t for the own goal we could have got something from the game. We should be praising what we managed to do in the game and look forward to the games coming up. More of the same and we will get some points.

I, too, was happy with how we nullified their efforts in the first half. Unfortunately, the o.g. seemed to kill us. It was as if once it went in, we accepted we'd lost. Our performance deteriorated markedly after that and on the few occasions we got hold of the ball and didn't punt it forward we soon gave it back through sloppy passing or players not being on the same wave length.

Who gives a F**k what this no mark thinks, second rate player, second rate pundit

Yes.

McKenna will be in the prem next season with Ipswich, why would he want to come to us?

Bit premature, they have a healthy gap to 3rd place but there is a long way to go!

It could be seen as more than a side swipe, he probably has let them know what he thinks. The public side of this is debatable as witnessed, but these so called youngsters are trying to work in a man’s world , already highly paid by the way, It’s a world where you don’t just get criticised, you can be dumped at any time, being told you have to be better is constant. I don’t know about cowardly, Hodgson is the only one manning up it would seem to me, his certainly not hiding is he. And Parish, can pull him any time he likes. What he says is so obviously true , that’s not to likely.
He didn’t have to take the job,but he has always said he didn’t want to lose anyone and needed three more than what he had, he must have been led to believe he would get that, but he didn’t , and if he is pissed off what a surprise.
