I suppose one could post exactly the same about the same old 4 or so people who all keep telling everyone else that at a Premiership football match, the ATMOSPHERE from 180 people is more important than 400 people WATCHING the football. I suppose you would have to be there too That would certainly give the majority of posters/readers on here a welcome break!
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

It’s not about 180 people, it’s about the hundreds and then thousands of others who join in and notice it, miss it, want it, as do the players, coaches and owners.

I wonder how true that is as it's only the vocal minority on forums kicking up a fuss. I don't get to Selhurst nowadays but I do see the lads at away grounds and I always ensure that I get seats as far from the prancing chimpanzees as possible

I am a fairly quiet person on the whole in my 50 s so probably should be sitting on my hands chatting to the bicycle repair man at games. But I miss the HF it’s a shame how it’s been handled and I feel a bit sorry for the E blockers but they will still be in the ground somewhere. From a really young age I found the atmosphere at games a massive draw and have always felt Palace a cut above the majority, and when I get tickets will gravitate towards the HF with our more recent Wembley games right in there. Away games have always been special for me as we tend to make a great atmosphere with a bit of edge, so off th Chelsea now and will be back with a sore throat fab.

Throughout life change happens and sometimes that change won't be enjoyable for all. Whilst I don't agree with how the club have gone about things, it is up to them if they wish to develop a singing section with the HF at the heart of it. Of course it is highly inconvenient and unfair for those in Block E but if the club feel it's for the greater good than surely we most honour that, it's not like the club are doing this every year. On a side note, a friend of mine recently went to a PSG match and said the atmosphere was the best he'd ever witnessed. This will add to the match day experience (imo).

Whatever happens I really think that the so called Holmesdale Fanatics should change their name as the one thing that has come out of this debacle is them showing the world that whatever else they may be they certainly aren't fanatics

If they aren’t fans then who else isn’t?

...and still, no-one that supports this move has said how they would deal with a load of supporters standing in the middle of the stand who would ruin the view of all those sitting immediately adjacent to them. Come up with a decent plan for that and maybe there would be a little more support for this half-baked notion.
