Todays first download is a tribute to guitarist Mick Ronson that was recorded one year after he died at the Hammersmith Apollo 1994. Mick died of liver cancer on 29th April 1993 at the age of 46. Among those performing were long-time musical partner Ian Hunter, The Spiders From Mars (alongside Mick Ronson, they were David Bowie’s backing band in the early ’70s), Joe Elliott and Phil Collen (Def Leppard), Roger Taylor (Queen), Roger Daltrey (The Who), Bill Nelson (Be Bop DeLuxe), Willy And The Poor Boys (Gary Brooker, Andy Fairweather-Low, Bill Wyman), and many others. The show was broadcast on BBC Radio 1 on the 30th April 1994. Mick was named the 64th greatest guitarist of all time by Rolling Stone in 2003 and 41st in 2012 by the same magazine. This is a cracking show and this is thoroughly recommended... Here is a download link I found for :- The Mick Ronson Memorial Concert, Live at the Hammersmith Apollo, Hammersmith, London, UK 29.4.94 - Various Artists (Bootleg) Quality : Superb Tracklisting : Disc 1: Disc 2 : Download Link : Disc 1 : [Link] Disc 2 : [Link] Filesize : 251MB (Including Artwork) Enjoy!

Todays second download is a set by Steve Marriotts Packet Of Three....... I have no info as to when (sometime in 1998 ) and where this was recorded It wasn't 1998 as Steve Marriott died in 1991. I think this is the concert.... Steve Marriott All Or Nothing: Live From London Live In London features a full show Steve Marriott played with his band Packet Of Three at London's Camden Palace Theatre in 1985. Marriott revisits many hits from his back catalog including classic Small Faces songs Whatcha Gonna Do About It, All Or Nothing and Tin Soldier and Humble Pie singles 30 Days In The Hole and I Don't Need No Doctor. Your posting of this got me digging out my old Small Faces albums - forgotten how good they are! Feel free to post more of Mr Marriott's work - maybe these? Tin Soldier - The Steve Marriott AnthologyLabel: Castle - released: 30 January 2006 All or Nuffin: The Final Performance 2009 Cheers
