Todays second download is a bootleg by Arthur Lee & Love. This is Black Beauty & Rarities - an album of studio takes and outtakes and unreleased tracks. I've posted quite a few boots and albums by Arthur Lee & Love over the years - this is another top sounding bootleg for the collection. The legendary Jimi Hendrix plays guitar on the track My Diary. If you've downloaded any of the previous stuff I've posted by Arthur Lee then grab this one as well... this is thoroughly recommended.. Todays extra download is a set recorded by Killing Joke at the BBC for John Peel. This session is only 3 tracks and they are all on a single mp3 file - not seperate tracks. This is in superb quality and the audio for the show has been taken from an FM broadcast amd it sounds top notch. The show was recorded on 14th April 1981 and was aired on the 27th April 1981. I've not posted that much live Killing Joke - good quality bootlegs are quite rare. Todays second download is a set by Paul Rodgers that was recorded at the SWR studios, Baden Baden, Germany on the 30th November 1996. This is in superb quality and the audio for the show has been taken from a dvd audio rip of the show. It has a low bitrate on this but it still sounds fantastic as Paul belts out a load of hits from his days with Free and Bad Company as well as a solo performer. I've posted a lot of shows by PR over the years - he's fronted some of the biggest bands in the world, so if you like Paul Rodgers - grab this one... this is thoroughly recommended.. Todays first download is a set by Elvis Costello & The Attractions that was recorded at the Mountford Hall, Uni Of Liverpool on the 6th February 1980. This is in superb quality and the audio for the set has been taken from the soundboard and it sounds top notch. Elvis and the band booked themselves this gig for some practice and were billed under the name of "The Horace Barlow Band" and were third act at the bottom of the bill including Rockpile and The Fabulous Thunderbirds. No one really expected much from "Horace Barlow Band" until they took the stage and the audience caught on... he even introduced the band at Horace Barlow band. Some rare tracks on this one by EC including the first known performance of "King Horse". If you like Elvis Costello - then grab this rare show.... Todays extra download is a set by The Reverend Horton Heat that was recorded at the Reading Festival, Reading on the 27th August 1994. This is in superb quality and the audio for the set has been taken from an FM broadcast of the set and it sounds top notch. According to my files this is the first bootleg by this band that I've posted - but not the first album - I've previously posted a studio released album by the band. They come from Texas and are the brainchild of singer/songwriter/guitarist Jim Heath and they have released 11 studio albums so far... (thanks wiki). I don't anything about the band myself - but I've had a listen to this and they are very good.. wiki describes their music as "Psychobilly". If you know this band then this is for you... if not, give them a try!... Todays extra download is a double bootleg by Sade - the first recorded in Montreux Switzerland on the 14th July 1984 and the second in Rotterdam, Netherlands on the 21st August 1984. Both these shows are in superb quality and the audio in both cases is from the soundboard and they both sound top notch. I received a request to post some Sade boots and as good quality ones are rare - I only have a few myself, so I dipped into my files and sent these two. Both of these shows have been posted before - but not for a few years. If you like Sade - grab these two... thoroughly recommended.. Todays second download is the first album or bootleg by this artist that I've posted - this is Sean Costello and a set he played at the Bradfordville Blues Club, Tallahassee, FLA in 2007 - the exact date isn't listed. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from the soundboard and it sounds top notch. Sean Costello was an American blues musician known for his fiery guitar playing and soulful singing. He released 5 albums before his career was cut short by his sudden death aged 28 in an Atlanta hotel room - apparently from an accidental drug overdose. He released 5 albums in his career - I will get around to posting them at some point. If you don't know Sean Costello - give this show a listen... this is great stuff and thoroughly recommended... Here is a download link I found for :- Live at The Bradfordville Blues Club, Tallahassee, Florida 2007 - Sean Costello (Bootleg) Quality : Superb Tracklisting : CD 1 : CD 2 : Download Link : [Link] Filesize : 186MB (Including Artwork and Playlist File) Enjoy!
