I agree on Schlupp although I am a huge fan, not for any objective reasons I've just always liked him

My thoughts on Gray are that he has been identified as a cheaper, relatively young and available option for us as opposed to purely an analysis of his value as a winger.

I do however think he is capable of bringing plenty of talent, it's more his mentality/attitude that is subject to criticism than his ability, which he certainly has plenty of. Given my points around our ability to procure him vs many another player, I just don't generally see any point b!tching, moaning or scrutinising his signing, if it does happen, and we're best off as fans just getting behind him and hoping for his best. Not saying it will happen, but if it does, he would/could turn out to be a very good buy at a reasonably low cost.

I do think that as a fanbase and a club as a whole we are pretty good with this. We have a long history of players who blow hot and cold, but give them time etc

Because his posts are so misleading. If he’s just posting what he hears then he would be better not to bother, as the information is so often plainly WRONG. This is not helpful.

Secondly, he never posts anything original that hasn’t already been posted elsewhere. Anyone with a link to someone at the club would occasionally post something not previously reported on and that actually turns out to be accurate.

Finally he also doesn’t help himself by his posting style and attitude.

It’s a football fans forum. It’s designed to encourage discussion. If someone is going to create their own thread and post reams of disingenuous nonsense on it and claim it as as fact, then it is not unreasonable to be called out about it when it is shown to be untrue.

Calm down and pray that these news are nonsense or someone is pulling his leg. It would be even worse if the news reflect assumptions and the planning process of relevant people in a PL club during transfer windows.
