The women football pundits I see on sky are like robots. They are so pc it is ridiculous. Men players who speak proper English aren’t far behind them.

Thirdly, I think you're referring to City's setup, not United's. United desperately need defensively skilled players to build a base from. Even if he is going to be used as a RWB (and nothing about Ole's history leads me to believe he will) he is a converted winger so I'm sure with his talent and pace he can adapt back into that role.

50 million is going to prove an absolute bargain and be scant consolation to us when week in week out Ward is getting skinned and we're conceding goals from the opposition's left.

There's Walker and TAA both before him in the pecking order, and yes, Awb is a Better defender than either of them, but he no where near their level from an attacking perspective (yet).

Add to that he's had a few opportunites in the England youth setup where he hasn't exactly shined, and you begin to see that perhaps he's not ready for a full international call up (Again yet).

He may get a call up while at ManU - and we'll never know if he would have after another season with us, but I think that it's unlikely without an injury to TAA or KW. What we do know, is that if he succeeds at ManU he will do so under a greater microscope, and under greater pressure. This will only help in when playing for england.

He's had one full year playing for F*cks sake, let him develop(shame it's not with us). The obsession in this country with rushing through youngsters does me in!

I’ve no problems with us selling AWB. It’s just a fact of life that on the rare occasions that we do unearth a little gem a bigger club is going to come and snap them up. It’s not like we didn’t get what he was worth, in fact I would say we got well above what we could have expected for a player with one full season’s experience. It’s a miracle in my opinion that Wilf is still with us. If it hadn’t been for his experience with Man. Utd he would have been long gone. My only concern would be what Roy does with the money. What we don’t need is any more Jachs, Rakips or Sorloths.

As would I, but it's more about a sense of progress.

We have done well in the last 5 years but that has come to a grinding halt as the club concedes defeat in any effort to rise above mid table.

Supporting a football team is about passion and not pragmatism. In this case, I believe that the board's pragmatism is not in line with improving the playing side.

It is either about desperation or profit.

When Zaha goes that will be our two best players gone.

I'm not criticising it as such as only the future will inform us as to the wisedom.

Also, keeping a player at a club against their wishes can bring its own problems and we don't know what's going on behind the scenes.

Anyway when Zaha goes that will be truly the start of a new era at the club......probably bring in a new style of football and everything will look different.

Things are going to be changing.....and as life rules, change will be s***e for some and beneficial for others.

I am blaming the current regime because it was their decision and one that sends the team backward.

More to the point, I am left wondering why one should waste emotion on a Saturday for a club that sells possibly the best defender it has ever had inside a year.
