If the investigating commission is truly independent then I suspect the Democrats are in for an embarrassing time. Congress is responsible for its own policing and security. The chief of police has fallen on his sword but the political responsibility lies with a committee led by the Democrats. Did the Chief ask for extra resources? Did the Democrats deny him this if so why? Did they want the riot to happen to blame Trump. Let's hope that it truly is an independent inquiry. One more point

The chief of police has fallen on his sword but the political responsibility lies with a committee led by the Democrats. Did the Chief ask for extra resources? Did the Democrats deny him this if so why? Did they want the riot to happen to blame Trump.

Let's hope that it truly is an independent inquiry.
