Championship is too tricky - the odds are scued because of the teams that need results plus which teams will have their minds on the beach already? So i'm going to back West Ham to bt Newcastle and About 5/1

On a Palace theme for once, you can get some incredibly generous odds on Garvan to score today: 18/1 to score first (Ladbrokes) Very generous considering his advanced position and the fact he takes penalties.

100-1 on Steve Clarke to be next Everton manager. A mate knows an insider at the club who says this will happen. Seems unlikely to me, but 100-1 is crazy odds considering how well Clarke has done at WBA and his experience with Chelsea as assistant manager. I've stuck a couple of quid on anyway

A bit late this but I've done: FOREST 3/4 v Huddersfield 11/5 double. Very little to tempt in Leagues 1 & 2 due to 1st week and weaker sides being at home (again, 1st game issue). Looked at Crawley (evens) at home vs Coventry but didn't.
