I had an interesting experience watching a Serbia v Croatia world cup qualifier in a bar in Croatia in 2013.Some of the chants made everyone on here (even the frothers) look like a liberal, especially when the TV cameras in Belgrade highlighted a banner about Vukovar,a place in Croatia where Serbs committed an appalling massacre in 1991.

In my day one went to discos etc and in many instances plucked up the courage to ask a lady to dance and of course often being rebuffed which could dent one's confidence and self-esteem. These days one not only has 'Online Dating' but I heard yesterday 'Speed Dating' whereby one has to make an impression in a very short time.And my wife informs me there is a programme called 'Take me out" on the TV - whatever happened to 'Blind Date' ? How the world has changed from the days when men used to avail of so called 'Chat up lines" to impress ladies, some of which were a tad corny and had been used many times before.None of this going on websites and hoping for a 'Wink'. Who needs online dating? I get loads of friend requests from young women - mostly drop-dead gorgeous with perfect boobs on show - who are interested in intimate relationships no questions asked. Which in my case, is just as well.

I currently have ODF syndrome! Online dating fatigue! I was going on 2-3 dates a week at one point! I have since limited myself to one a week! At a certain point they all become the same date! And found myself repeating the same topics, jokes and phrases! Time for a break methinks!
