To be fair, this has been coming for a while. If you get shot of Gayle and Murray, whilst knowing that Wickham is simply pointless, as he’s permanently injured, then you’re left with Campbell, who was, quite frankly, not good enough.
To redress that you sign Benteke and then allow Campbell to leave.

To make that decision you must be pretty confident that you are going to sign someone or you have sufficient cover in one of the development squads.
It is utterly amazing that we find ourselves in this situation. It is proper amateur stuff, so to redress it we look to sign a player that can’t get in any other team at any level!!
Stick the top striker from the U23 or even the U18’s in. Give him a chance and let’s see what he can do. Carrying on like this is a joke and don’t get me started on the goalkeepers.
