My point is that if people very consistently win for years without any artificial enhancement, it's on account that there is something naturally exceptionally unusual/freakish about them. There are plenty of people across many sport that tick those boxes. The Michael Johnsons of this world, the Michael Phelps. If we could isolate and snuff out whatever biological blip makes them who they are, they would be pretty run of the mill. Stopping M2F trans athletes from competing against women makes perfect sense because they have artificially enhanced performance, whereas Semenya hasn't. Though I appreciate your point that her unique biology clearly conveys a significant advantage, so I can see why they have ruled that Semenya can compete but with a testosterone limit that has to be adhered to. With that in place, logically her performance will suffer or she will retire, so it's a solution of sorts.
What about a tranni who was a woman but is now a bloke. Can they compete and v men or v women.? It would be very non PC not to let them compete at all.

Logically a female to male likely wouldn't be able to compete at the top level to begin with, as that transition wouldn't convey any physical advantage over biological men.

Essentially this can all be summarised as the left fecking things up as usual....put them in charge of anything and this is what you get. If there is a status quo they want to deconstruct it and topple it.....regardless of the mess they make. Edited by Stirlingsays (25 Sep 2019 10.06am)

Im a leftie so I know where I should stand on this, buuuut... It would solve a lot more problems than it creates. The problem is that sociology, science and politics all clash over the issue. Create a third...erm...gender I suppose...and have them compete with other trans people. I don't think many could truly object to that.

Aren't 'trans' about 1 percent of the population? I don't see sports organisations paying for that.....and are you going to watch that? The loonies can do whatever the loonies want to do....just as long as I don't have to pay for it or watch it.
