Football has been terrible. Tactics have been terrible, recruitment and all round handling of it has been terrible. Our only saving grace is an experienced group of players and thankfully the league has been pretty poor this season. Get liverpool out the way and it wouldn't surprise me going into the new year challenging for the top 8.

I have been reading the Liverpool Predictions thread and this thread and as we are looking forward to a loss against Liverpool there is no greater risk (of that loss) is a "B" team is played. I am sure we will all be happy if Roy starts with a neglected players team, with perhaps some Academy players - Nia Kirby, Jason Lokilo, James Daly, Robert Street, Henry spring to mind - played from the start, on a survive or be replaced basis. The risk would be lose 5 - nil - not unexpected, possibility of being done for playing a weak team, win 5 - nil, men in white coats waiting for Roy, and Mr Linaker speechless.

Loyalty to players is a commendable trait and many players seem to respect this in Roy.
However, it can blind him to where changes could at least be attempted.
When asked why Camarasa hasn’t featured he said Camarasa would have to ‘do very well to dislodge the players who have done so well for me for two seasons.’
But if you examine the facts ,for example, Luka and Schlupp have not exactly set the world alight this season.
Lewington has said the real crime for Roy is not following tactical instruction which is worse in his eyes than playing badly.

To go back to the title of this thread, I will be very surprised if Roy changes much.
