So the Fireman Sam bounce has not happened at WBA yet. It normally takes him a few games but he is running out of time. They maybe desperate for new signings.
One more point |

Or they may cut their losses and not throw any more good money after bad. I remember a lot was made of the Big Sam's bounce when he became our manager but it didn't work out that way. After a promising draw away to Watford on Boxing Day, which would have been a win were it not for Benteke's terrible penalty, the performances for the following four or five games were even worse than Pardew had been dishing up.

Let them have Sakho for £15m, i say. They're desperate.

Agreed. In fact I didn't think he improved the team at all outside of pressuring the club into spending money they didn't really have on players who would have helped the results every bit as much regardless of who was managing the team. What he was very good at was making sure to tell the media just how tough a job he had on his hands every other week. Pulis, Pardew and Hodgson all kept us up with lesser squads and far less self publicity. They also managed to avoid getting tonked at home by a Sunderland side that made today's opponents look good.

Sakho last started a game in early October and the next time he featured was on 24 Oct when he came on in the 85th minute.

BFS should have retired when he “retired”.

I think he could go a long way to keeping them up if Roy could get a good half season out of him. Cheap at twice the price. Very generous of us. :-)
