Well that really was a woeful half. Granted Chelsea are miles more talented than us but still, need to do better. Way too much space being given them and resulting in a lot of sloppy challenges around our 18yd box.

Now to see how PV will react to the play so far.

Announcers aside, combined with no calls our way, isn’t this what you expected to see. We are a team that needs time to solidify our style and players comfort. …….oh and it is one of the top squads in all of Europe at home. We need time to see what we will become. I would not be upset to write this game off and see what our youth can bring to the match.

Tough times ahead !! Palace have not laid a glove on Chelsea Viera in this first half must already realise the task he faces ahead in keeping us in the premiership Will happily accept a 3 goal defeat against title winners favourites

Positive spin- we don’t look as lost as we did in FDB’s first game.

We shouldn’t lose sight of the fact that Chelsea are a very good team. Can’t really criticise Mateta who hasn’t even had scraps. Midfield being overrun by an excellent unit

Tough words from the BEIN commentator, who described us as "woeful" as we trudged off at half-time.

Back in the studio Richard 'It was just banter' Keys said we "had taken a hiding".

He also made a big deal of Zaha apparently complaining about something to McArthur as they walked off, adding: "That's not a good sign," as he attempted to stir the pot of controversy within the camp.

Afraid this team is weaker at the moment than last season’s 11. Hopefully new players still to come in to strengthen our weaker areas. Ayew is lost on the right, it’s like playing with 10. I fear the second half as it’s the midfield of ours that need strengthening and there’s no one on the bench to change that. Chelsea making us play so deep that forward players don’t get a look in :-(

We cannot play how we want against them. We are swarmed, we are screwed.
Take a decent 2nd half performance and learn our lessons. But this is Chelsea, this is exactly what we should have expected, no reflection on anything...

Ayew is awful as is riedewald

Ayew loves to dribble all the time, never ever thinks of a pass or clearing lines as a first thought.

There was one particular occasion where he was literally trying to dribble out in the middle of own half and I'm thinking "where is your football IQ mate?!"

Agreed, sadly it shows how weak and low our bar is at the back, this is only going down hill and it will be between us Leeds as to who is bottom of the table tonight !
