Actually quite a concern to witness Ward attempt a left foot volley…is this the coaching and instruction we are witnessing or is this just a one off? I’m all for the players being instilled with confidence but if they don’t have it in their locker you are just setting them up for failure?

Two games in, no goals so far - the Hodgson curse. Kouyate looked mediocre from day one, another of those players who liks the idea of being a fotballer but aren't any good at it. Our midfield has often lacked creativity and lacks balance - what does Schlupp actually do? Do we play with wingers who can cross for Benteke to head? If not why is he on the pitch?
