I wonder who will make up the first Palace chant for him? Not the easiest name to rhyme with…

I'd like something to the tune of Dean Martin's 'That's Amore'.

Anybody with greater intelligence and artistic sense then me should be able to piece something together... which will be just about anybody.

When you're lying in a wreck,
from a tackle that breaks your neck,
THAT'S DOUCORE.

Something like that although that's based on my assumption he's a tough tackler which may well not be the case.

Back in the day, I believe, Arsenal fans had a Viera chant using the song 'Volare' replacing Volare with Viera. Substitute 'Doucoure' for 'Viara' and away we go

You're right that we're assuming he's got a crunching tackle, but I am hoping that we're upgrading our other Cheick with a player that Vieira sees some of himself in. A little bit good, a little but hard, a little but cheaty, wins tackles, scores goals, sets up plays etc.

I hope this one comes off.

 

So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet.

That reminds me of the less than complimentary chant which West Ham supporters are said to have sung about one of their forwards:
