I"m glad the slippery chancellor lost today- his idea that when he is pm he will publish his tax affairs was brilliant- I wanted to ask him had he thought of publishing them before he is pm- so people can determine if he is fit to be pm?

At least if Penny gets in shes not Liz Truss- seeing her ugly mug on tv every night would be as bad as listening to bungles lies, and Pen, who watched the Falklands fleet from Pompey sail off, and served herself, will appreciate not to break international law and the consequences of doing so! She has already been caught out lying back in 2016 but after the past couple of years whats one lie by a CONservative pm?

Some are lucky to have an almost evangelical following who would load the stolen loot and salute as he sailed away- its not my bag but they are about mate! I"m just glad we are rid of someone who lies every other day, hopefully Penny or one of the other non cabinet members get in , and clean them all out, the countrys fcuked now they stole the loot, and spent the rest, but a clean sweep , even a CONservative sweeper, is a breath of fresh air! Lets hope Dom, Nadine, Jacob, Priti and the rest of the lying, thieving rabble get kicked out by the new pm- who rules is insignificant!

Hunt is out of the running. I am not surprised although one poster on HOL here bigged him up, you would vote for Hunt like I would vote for Corbyn.

That was me, and I am not surprised either. I am though sad because he was the only one who stood a chance of re-capturing the middle ground and dragging the Party back to where I believe it needs to be. That he has been rejected this early speaks volumes about the current Tory Party and the attitudes of the members who will take the final decision.

I have long believed that the decision who leads them is something that ought to rest solely with the MPs. They know the people far better than anyone else. Putting the decision about who will be PM in the hands of activists, whether on the left, or right, doesn't sit well with me.

I strongly suspect we would have seen a totally different outcome if the voting had been on that basis, rather than the MPs having all their focus on tactically ensuring a least bad scenario.

For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally.

What is this loot they stole. You are the only poster who somehow knows about it.
I’m intrigued.

Yup but wishes don't make it happen. Hunt is a flawed candidate hated by people in the NHS he was never going to win largely because the party could see that the neutral voters would not want him.

None of the remaining candidates fill me with any hope so its the best of a bad bunch.

Penny Mourdant for me - I no longer want Rishi.
A woman would also be yet another slap in the face for Labour who shout equality from the rooftops while never having a female leader.

It's going to be Rishi. He , (and especially his non-domicile wife) are experts on keeping tax low.

Rishi, Rishi, Rishi. Let's hope he has no undisclosed connections to Asian shopkeepers and kiddy-fiddling
