Does it make your wee wee red? Beetroot sandwiches are the best. Nice crusty bread, a good layer of butter and cooked beetroot. Not the pickled stuff, obviously. Heaven: chips (as per the OP) Edited by YT (20 Jun 2024 5.28pm)

Heaven: chips (as per the OP) Edited by YT (20 Jun 2024 5.28pm) cooked beetroot grated into bowl with finely chopped red onion and lemon juice makes a beautiful side salad, with a chicken schnitzel and boiled spuds (quality ones, waxy not floury with a knob of melted butter and a sprig of parsley) it's yum, yum, yum, smack your lips and have a swig of lager to wash it down. Another heaven is a good tarte au citron, slice half a strawberry and a basil leaf for decor and savour with a dessert fork. Woof.

Nothing has changed... but I've said my piece.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

PS Cant beat a liver sausage and anchovy sandwich........the Panino bar in St Georges walk use to do a fine peanut butter, liver sausage and anchovy sandwich a few years back Edited by the silurian (22 Jun 2024 1.31pm)
