Every football fan has their take on things, it’s a view from their own perspective. Now I haven’t followed the club for 50 years yet, but I have seen more lows than highs for sure, so we have a lot more to grumble about than a lot of fans of other clubs...

Improve scouting and stop wasting money on poor players.

Get the ground redeveloped properly.

Buy/build a better training facility.

Stop selling your best talent to PL rivals.

Man City was a nothing club and look where they are now.

So you basically want Palace to be another Chelsea / Man City ?

You make it sound so simple - but it isn't.

We already have billionaire owners. On the face of it, their contribution has been minimal. And now they want to sell their shares and that has been the case for some months now. Despite a few rumours I have seen no evidence of a serious offer being made.

Improve scouting - yes, that certainly needs to be done and should be achievable. But first I think there has to be recognition within the club that it is actually an issue - not seeing that at all. There has been a shift in how they go about their business but it's still all reporting into DF.

Get the ground redeveloped - as you well know that is work in progress albeit at snails pace. You can't just wave a magic wand and it happens.

The Academy is being invested in - I'm not aware of a burning requirement to replace the training ground.

Are Man Utd our '' rivals '' ? I think not.

Money talks indeed and potentially new ownership could address some of what needs to be done. But at the moment we have the same ownership as a year ago and we are where we are.

One of the big differences is my mentality v. yours is that you seem to struggle with the reality of the situation as it is now.

Really sad to see him go but am glad that he is going places and will experience European football which I don't feel will happen with palace within the next 3 years!!

I am really very sad not to see AWB play again in our colours and I will miss watching him. I assume he wanted to go when the offer was seen as serious and why wouldn't he want to take the chance when it comes. I also think whatever the club's situation if the player is turned by agents etc etc then what can they do but put a very high price on him...that didn't work so away he goes, I wish him well but not that well now he plays for MU, will always watch as wherever he goes he will always be ours.
We really don't have the power of the big clubs and we should remember that, I don't want new owners, glad to have Palace people running things, I don't think they have done that badly, but this site seems to be the repository of the feelings of badly frustrated people who are never happy with anything, sadly that dominates which makes most threads football and other a miserable experience...is it because we are established in the Prem, maybe but people love to dump stuff on here and there are quite a few very regular contributors who dominate....making for the misery.

I have to say that the money offered for AWB really could bit be turned down.
I think that United are paying a lot for potential.
I KNOW what an outstanding defensive full back he is, in my opinion the best in the league, but Manchester United will want more than that.
He will be expected to be a lot more creative than he was at Palace.. get used to a team playing with the majority of possession and expect to be as much as an attacking threat as a defensive rock.
I am not sure he is at point in time capable of playing as a wing back and is certainly far from the finished article and at times poor on the attacking 3rd.
At that next level he will need a lot of work.
I hope I am wrong.
Aa for is it good money for him, well that dependeds on what the fans think is good money, translated to transfer business and what the club does with the money on the pitch..and what the club thinks ,investment in the ground and non playing side.
I fear if we feel we are going to splash all of the fee on new players we may be unhappy bunnies.
