The crap about Olise agreeing terms with chelsea is just that. It is against the rules to talk to a player without first agreeing terms with his club. Unless he is out of contract 6 months after after 1 Jan.

I said it before the window opened . If we manage to hold on to the players we have bar Zaha it will be a good window for us . We will be alot better off in December when the window opens as we are saving 450k per week . Maybe a few loans . What and who we need and what and who we get are by far two different things . We need imho left back cover ,a striker a winger but will prob end up with a 3rd choice goalkeeper and a few players for the academy. Its the Palace way .

completely correct, some others cant to understand that

Thanks for the reply Lanzo. I hope you are right about the 2/3 signings. I will believe it when I see it!

Lets hope we get some decent players in before Sept 1st, even if it is loan or loan to buy,

Buy someone on deadline day and you are then usually waiting another 3 or 4 games before they start a game. And it’s looking likely that the deadline day bargain bin is now where we are shopping.
The first team is currently ok (though poorer options upfront) the bench less so. 3 or 4 injuries and we are screwed. Can’t believe another season with only one left back.

This is worrying & i know its only click-bait, but, Eze, rejecting a new contract, plus Manure interest. Not good.

Fall out from the reported £200k pw Wilf offer. Eze and his agent know Eze's standing within the team and his worth. Fair play to him. Hopefully negotiations continue and he gets the deal he wants..with Palace!

I feel the way to deal with Eze is to give him a decent pay rise but also build in a rise based on international appearances. Focuses him on doing well and getting selected for England due to club form.

Players speaking directly correct but it doesn't stop agents who do it all the time.

Personal terms may have been agreed by verbal but they need to agree them with Palace as well and it all signed on paper otherwise it's meaningless.

It's another one of these either made up stories or agents putting it out to get bumps in money or try get clubs interested.

Wilf was never offered that it was made up just like so many of the other stories about he is linked to so so.

Eze currently has a contract until 2025 if he doesn't want to sign and new one with a pay bump that is down to him while he keeps stalling he is missing out on extra £.

Apart from the top 6 teams no one is really signing anyone. Luton and Sheffield United are going straight back down and that leaves 8 to 10 other teams vying for that last spot. I’m no clairvoyant, but we will be fine!

12 teams have spent over £60m so far and City aren't one of them.

That's not to say they've all done well with who they've bought, but Burnley have a net spend of £65m, Brentford of £58m, Bournemouth of £70m, Villa of £88m, Forest of £28m...

I'm not sure we can argue that it's just the top 6 that are pulling away - that 8th to 12th group are all making moves.

The ones that haven't done anything of note are West Ham, Palace, Sheff Utd, Luton, Everton, Fulham. It's the lower mid-table/relegation group.

We now seem to be seeing all of our decent players linked with other clubs. At one level this is flattering -shows we have some.talent but I worry this is actually a sign that agents are manoeuvring to get their players away from a sinking ship.

The club appears hell bent on building a new stand as opposed to investing in the squad and we have little on no off field stability with an aged manager appointed as either the Chairman can't be bothered to look further than the end of his nose or no one else wants the job.

As the season approaches we are in danger of yet again starting a season in a worse position than we ended the last one

If we sign Gray and Franca will that be considered a decent window on top of the addition of Lerma?
If we manage to keep Anderson,Guehi and Doucoure then it wouldn't be too bad in my view although it leaves us short of a striker and arguably another left back.
Gray is not as good as Zaha but he can play in his position on the left and he has a better shot in both feet than Zaha.
I know nothing of Franca, but if he is talented as reported he could help in filling the gap of the eventual loss of Eze/Olise.
