Clearly Wilbs is not a striker. He couldn't score in a brothel with a pocket full of krugerrands BUT he does have certain attributes.
He can hold up the ball very well, pick a decent pass and is not afraid to put a tackle in. Perhaps he plays too far up the field and if needed those skills could be better used when we are defending a lead next to Jedi with say 20 mins to go.
Not a suggestion, just a thought.

I think you'll find that's illegal

Here we go!

A guy who hasn't even been in the 25, let alone played a competitive match, comes on and does exactly what was required of him by his manager and the team to help us win a crucial match and then gets slagged off by so called supporters who have to have a fall guy!

For much of the season it has been Puncheon, but he was designated 'hero' yesterday.

But Wilbraham who stepped in for Murray in the playoffs and helped secure Premiership football continues to be the butt of abuse!

For me, he is a journeyman with limitations, who never gives less than 100% and, used appropriately, makes a valuable contribution.

well said!

As the majority have clearly said.. wilbs deserves respect. Ge didn't come on yesterday to score a goal he came on to ensure when we got the ball out from defence there was someone to keep the ball for us and he did that in droves.

Could be the new alan lee... we all dream of a team of wilbrahams.

I thought it was a hilarious cameo from him yesterday. I've been a critic of his and his missed chances in the PO final left me exasperated.

He was great when he first came on yesterday, just standing on the ball and needing 2 or 3 Stoke played to kick it away from him. However, when he needed to something else, he didn't know what to do. He took a long shot when he should have just run slowly towards goal and he let the ball pass him in the box in the last minute, when it looked like he should've had a shot himself from where I was sitting.

Overall, he helped us get the 3 points but he could've made it a bit easier for us fans lol.

Its called a Dummy and let Puncheon in who should have scored but blasted it at Butland.

He should be taken down to the pdsa in south croydon and put down.

He can hold the ball up but cant shoot.

Tbf moxey when he came on could just as well have done the same job up front

Very disrespectful however not surprising coming from you seeing you're a c*nt.

Matthau isn't a cnut he's actually a top bloke,
Saying that I think he's wrong about Wilbs!
I was at the Amex and tho he didn't score his contribution that famous night was immense.
I will give any player credit if they play well and show passion for the shirt, he ticks those boxes.

I know what it's called mate but it's odd that he didn't take that chance to shoot but he did the other one, which was much further out and difficult.

Don't understand these numbnuts who slag Wilbs off all the time. He holds the ball well & distributes as good as any. Good to see him back imo!

If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong

Did more in 10 minutes than Chamakh did in 80 - more running, more shots, more enthusiasm and a lot less moaning!.

I literally cannot believe you posted that. Were you really at the game ? Do you understand football ?

Lazy journalists say Chamakh is lazy no doubt unaware or not caring about the irony.

Chamakh has a put a hell of a shift in every game Ive seen him and yesterday even more so. He got a bit frustrated towards the end, but he challenged for every single ball and won most them, moved play along well and created space for others and very rarely lost the ball.

The guy is class and if you cant see that, I really despair !

You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue
Yours sincerely
