Well I have thought it through. You appear not even to have read it. FYI, Allardyce joined on 23 Dec. Since then, Palace have 23 points from 19 games for the 12th best record, five better than the 18th placed team

But we did have a recognised centre back then. It's not just about Sakho and SA is quite capable of doing other great business.

What happened last season at Sunderland with Kone? Come on Jamie Carragher, don't keep us waiting 24 hours.

I just get the feeling that if Allardyce had NOT joined our club we would have slipped through that dreaded 'Relegation trapdoor' by now.It was NOT looking good !

In fairness I thought we'd already gone through it after Sunderland. The fact our destiny is in our own hands with the run in we've had is incredible, yet people still wanna talk s***. Allardyce is what he is, we will see if and what his limitations are over the course of the next few seasons but as of now he is exactly what we need and certainly a lot more than just a hoof ball merchant
We're the Arthur over ere! |

One can only speculate as to how much this would effect him and whether he would feel that he would need time to "Recuperate' before accepting another challenge. He might deem that he wants some time out to 'Dust himself down' before going again.NOT only would this be awful for Allardyce (And the club and supporters)he might lose that invincibility regards keeping teams up when they have been in difficulties.Only 'Food for thought' !
