The speed these players run at, the way things look when slowed down, added with players being able to leave a foot in (to get touched) as an art form, sets people up to fail. They play the game so many times, they do drills every day - law of averages is if you see a player about to make a challenge, you set yourself up in a specific position and you are getting taken out. Who was it, for swansea, Olsen? he did it, he dived hoping the player would connect, had he did, it would have looked a perfect foul - unfortunately, the player with drew. There must be a thousand penalties where if you edited out the defender making the foul, it would look like a dive - by that i mean strikers invite the foul and fall down at the perfect point making the case for a stone wall foul - i say inviting as it is a foul, but the striker knew. There are also thousand more legit fouls. This is what wild needs to do, in my opinion, every time he gets fouled or he falls (for whatever reason) just get up and leave the ref to make the decision, sitting there wide eyed, arms in the air - it doesn't do him justice.

A fairer view of the situation than that of Kilbane:
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

What about this from the commentator during last night's Everton v Toon match. "That's clever from Gayle. A little touch on the defender, just enough to knock him off balance". Otherwise known as a "foul".

Come on, seriously? I didn't say it wasn't, just not 100% (certainly at full speed). It took almost freeze frame to show the foot held up on Mariappa, and I'm trying to be as objective as I can

What a knob. 'He's falling into the penalty area' which was a few inches from where he was tripped. There is a lot of competition, but that is possibly the most stupid comment I have ever heard on MOTD. Edited by Slimey Toad (24 Apr 2018 12.16pm)
