I had the same feeling. He paused before his run up which I’ve never seen him do before and to be honest his run up made it pretty obvious which side it was going.

I'll stick up for Benteke though. 17 starts, 11 sub appearances and 8 goals is a decent return this season. He was given 58 minutes of football this season before the West Brom game when he got 2 so it's not like he started slow. In the previous 2 seasons he started a combined 22 games. He didn't get enough goals in those seasons, clearly, but this is the most consistent run of starts he's had for years and it's helping his performances.

Everyone has said for ages that his confidence is shot and he needs a goal to get going. He gets that goal and a run of starts and a few goals come with it and now it can only be because he wants money. In terms of things to moan about, our striker scoring goals is surely low down the priority list?
