We have an axe to grind here after what happened at their gaff last back-end. I have a feeling that we'll be right 'up for it' in this one and will not tolerate anything but a win. I think Toffees will be wanting to kick us off the park but I can't see our players bottling it with the memory of last season on their mind. This could be a war and I have taken a bet that there'll be a red card in the match. We will not do anything but win . I'll say 2-0.

In theory we're not safe, but for all intents and purposes unless something nuts happens we already are. Before his reputation was tarnished nursing the Crystal Palace Home of Rest for fading premier league stars to survival in the top flight, it was a truism that Hodgson's teams scored two at home. I think they will on this occasion. I think Everon will only manage one goal and two enforced substitutions in reply.

I could, of course, say that in the last two seasons we've won two-thirds of our games against Everton, but I wouldn't want anyone to think I was a dickhead. I assumed that it was a given that games that we played when Harold MacMillan was PM might not have much relevance.
