Given our transfer policy changed a few years ago from buying or loaning over 30 year olds coming to the end of their careers. It seems a non starter, he is of any interest, especially over the way he left.

I take him back for sure at the right price. I would expect him to be on the bench a fair bit but he could make a useful contribution. Eze is better centrally, he doesn't seem to like being wide. He was wasted for England.

It’s a yes from me. We have a fantastic team but limited squad at the moment and Wilf would be a major addition. The terms of the deal now look ideal for us as all the drama will be gone and this year will be pure football. If it works out we will negotiate a free transfer on reduced terms next year and if not I’m sure Wilf would have gained us a place or two in the table to justify the outlay! Do the deal!
