All I do know, and this seems to be a view becoming more and more mainstream now by the minute, is that the rooftop from which this shot was fired should have been out-of-bounds.

Key to this now not all spiralling out of control is how quickly they deal with this reality. No conspiracy theory involved in that. Just a very blatent, and very basic, negligence on the part of the people tasked with securing this event.

Personally I think they need to get somebody else take over Trumps security ASAP because the people tasked to do it failed so dramatically today that it goes beyond a case of 'lessons will be learned.'

I think you are bang-on Ouzo. People were pointing out "there's a man on a roof with a rifle" to police, a minute or two before the shooting started.
And if police snipers took him out moments later, why didn't they see him before anything had happened ?

Let alone the rudimentary activities of checking out potential shooting/attacking locations, and having them secured, well before the rally started.

I think any security people involved, will be feeling quite embarrassed and probably fearing for their jobs.
