This is still a top set though and if you like RATM then this is thoroughly recommended...

Hi staffie

Just on the off chance. Is there any live Donald Byrd concerts kicking around. I was looking for anything from say 1973 onwards. I know of one from the Boston Jazz Workshop in 1973 and another from 76. Would appreciated it if you could have a look.

No rush

Many Thanks

Todays first download is a set by Joan Jett that was recorded at the NHK Hall, Tokyo, Japan on the 12th April 1982. This is in superb quality and the audio for the set has been taken from an FM Broadcast of the show and it sounds top notch. This set is full of cover songs - including Wooly Bully from Sam the Sham, Bits And Pieces by The Dave Clark Five, Rebel Rebel by David Bowie to name a few. What most folks don't know however is that her biggest hit "I Love Rock N Roll" is also a cover tune which was written in 1975 by Alan Merrill and Jake Hooker from the band Arrows who first recorded it. They didnt get any airplay and no chart success. Joans version went to #1 on the billboard chart and stayed there for 7 weeks. If you like Joan Jett - then grab this one, this is thoroughly recommended...

Hi staffie a friend of mine on Faceberk mentioned that he has just spent a happy few hours listening to Vivian Stanshalls Peel sessions.

Not really an album I know, but I wondered whether this is something you could find?

Thanks in advance if you can.
