Todays second download is a set by the man in black Johnny Cash that was recorded in Austin, Texas on the 8th December 1994. This is in superb quality and the audio for the show has been taken from the soundboard and sounds top notch. According to my files this is only the second bootleg by JC that I've posted - an oversight on my part that I will correct in the next week or so. This is a top set with some real classics on it like "I Walk The Line" "Ring Of Fire" and "A Boy Named Sue" are all played. If you like Johnny Cash then grab this show - this is the mutts...

Todays first download is a set by Elton John that was recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon on the 22nd December 1973. The quality of this bootleg is just unbelievable - crystal clear, pindrop perfect sound... stunning. The stereo mix is amazing - easily one of the best on ANY bootleg I've ever heard - and I've heard one or two over the years. The audio has been taken from BBC transcription reels exactly as recorded at the concert - before they were broadcast by the beeb. The notes I read said that "Elton played 6 nights at the Hammersmith Odeon in December 1973 - during these shows he was suffering from a cold, but aware that the show was being recorded for the BBC wanted to put on a show - and the whole band seemed up for it"... The setlist is wicked and if you like early Elton John - then grab this show... this honestly sounds better than a lot of officially released albums...
