All stats are just that. Stats. The only ones that matter are the points we have. All other chosen stats about how many clean sheets, goals scored, games won/lost, offsides by strikers, points per game, etc., are pure fluff. None of them matter if we have more points accrued than games played. Which we have.

You don't sack a manager because he achieves the target asked. Which Roy has done, and is on course to do again. Just because you, and many others, think we should be top 10 on a regular basis is neither here nor there. Post any stats you like, but unless it looks like we will be relegated, Roy will be here until he wishes to retire.

Well there is a complete lie. I have never said I expect us to be top 10, let alone on a regular basis so why would you say that? Find one post from me that says that and I will apologise. Otherwise keep your posts truthful.

I used to go with someone that always took the view that if we lost it was cos we were cr@p and if we won it was cos the opposition were worse than cr@p!

Nothing wrong with your post, it’s just a bit off to argue against facts. They are irrefutable. What I will admit is that you can find stats to show great Palace form for some periods under Roy, however you can also easily point to numerous periods of appalling play, and I currently think the latter outweigh the former.

The stats at the moment show that we have 22 points, so far, before the second half of the season. That is the only stat that matters. Appalling play or not. It matters not what you think might happen, as there is proof that we have never been in the relegation zone whilst Roy has been our manager. You may disagree with the team selection, substitutions, acquisition of players, age of squad, or anything you like, but the reality is that we have more than enough points at this stage of the season to not sack the manager.

22 points halfway (presume 2 losses vs Man City and Arsenal, but who knows?), is a job well done so far.
Still can not believe how poor our passing is - main culprits Ward, Luka, Kouyate, McArthur.
Even unpressed we seem to pick out opposition players - not to mention the rubbish our strikers have to work on.
A slight improvement here would probably make us a good bet for the top 10 come the end of season.
