Cook and Lyth should be dropped immediately. Cook will not be dropped buy Lyth might well pay the price. I really cannot see any reason to stick with Lyth. Cannot see Pietersen returning whilst Strauss is 'Director of cricket'. Then we will lose the Ashes because of some typically English small mindedness. The best players play and I don't care if they are pricks.

Strauss and Cook are what is wrong with English cricket and what is wrong with so many English institutions. Little men who can't think outside the box and don't want anyone making waves.

My god! Just checked the score!! Spineless lot have given up. No fight at all.Total and utter disgrace. They just want the match over today so they can go on the 'Lash' tonight. I hope the media really 'Go to town' on this lot - they deserve ALL the criticism in the world.

Awful pitch, ball doing nothing. Joe Root could bat on this for 5 days. Which means that Australia will notch 600+ and England will suffer a battling collapse ! Could this be another England test defeat immediately after a victory ?

as an Aussie I'm loving this! Been quite impressed with Marsh. Been referred to as a 70% batter 30% bowler all rounder but he has kept it right got some important wickets and been a great foil for the Aussie pacers. On the plus side we beat France 3-1 in the Davis Cup(tennis)quarter final,Murray saw off Gilles Simon three sets to one after being one set down....always good to beat the Frogs...life isn't all bad.
