Amazed by the negativity on here. Surely most didn’t see the game?

Baring in mind the injury crisis, thought the lads put in a tremendous fight. We created a few good chances and game would have been different if we scored the first goal. Individual mistake from Tomkins header for the first goal ultimately cost us today. Only negative for me was TFM at CB, looked a bit out his depth there.

Tough fixtures coming up but we’re a bogey team for both Liverpool and Chelsea. Those 2 plus Man Utd & Spurs have a busy fixture schedule with FA cup and Champions League, may rest key players. We have a 16 day rest until our next game, will hopefully have Sakho and Kelly back by then. Also gives time for Sørloth and Rakip time to bed in.

WBA are adrift, Huddersfield in free fall. We need 4 teams to get ahead us to put us back in the relegation zone.

What a relief to read this...all we need to do is beat Scousers and Chelsea plus give a good hiding to exhausted and below-strength Man U and Spurs.

After a long rest we are certain to beat WBA and Huddersfield with new blood and returned injured players.

We will breeze up the table and all will be hunky dory...

Nudge me please I must be dreaming?

Incidentally, I did see the game and we were dreadful in the first half but woke up when we were 3-0 down admittedly. A little late though.

Having read that Roy has not been making substitutions, I have looked at the match reports for this year, and seen that in all of those matches only injury substitutions have taken place, with uninjured players lasting the full ninety minutes. I wonder if Roy has been testing the players and now knows that all starting players are capable of putting the full match shift. Perhaps he has given himself scope for double substitutions early in the second half - certainly we have two unused new players who, I hope, would like to be tested. COYP

We've got to find 4 wins and a draw and by what we've got coming they have got to be won in the last 7 games

After our shocking start and waste of pre-season we’ve never been out of trouble. Our fortunes have hinged too much on one player and Benteke and Townsend haven’t contributed enough goals..

Our problem has been evident for last two years, being that we have too many players on ridiculous wages. To keep within FFP we can't sign proven premiership players because we can't afford to pay them. A poor managerial appointment, seven straight loses no goal keeper cover. Remember we let our third choice keeper go 2nd Sept 17, and never replaced him and now we're down to one. We are sadly looking like Sunderland last season.

On the positive Wilf will back after the big 4 along with some of the other injured, Wickham I hope. We have an excellent manager and we have our support. There is also 6 teams below us who are playing badly, have injuries and are in a worse position than us. Could take a cheap pot shot at SP but why bother half who read this will claim he walks on water and the others would hope he drowns.

As has been said many times, We're Palace, it's a rollercoaster, COYP etc. Keep The Faith.

No way we need 40 points to stay up.
3 wins and a draw, maybe only 3 wins even will do it.

Sacarsm is the lowest form of wit. I think it’s reasonable to suggest we might pick up some points against the big boys seeing as we are playing 3 of them at home, have only lost 3 in 16 games and for the reasons I mentioned re possible squad rotation/fixture pile up.

The squad is threadbare, we can’t do anything about that now unfortunately. Yes, we messed up in the transfer window. A bit of perspective would go a miss considering where we were after 7 games and our current run. We are looking far stronger than all the teams currently below us.

Still no subs made again! Very odd from Roy. Even when we were 3-0 down he didn’t want to even bring Rakip on for the 10-15 mins. I know he clearly doesn’t rate anyone on the bench but he’s going to run the players into the ground. With our luck on injuries you would think he would at least make some!
