With respect I wasn't inferring this at all.Of course we have the ability to sign PL players and the players you have highlighted were signed in different windows.

My comments are relating to the current window whilst also asserting that some of the players mentioned are out of our reach.

To be fair I saw someone suggest Willian, and another Iniesta. Both ridiculous IMO. We certainly can buy players from Chelsea or even Barca, but not those two players, so I agree with you.

If iniesta stayed at Barca another five years and was 40 something, absolutely s***e at that point, I reckon palace could get him. Same applies to Willian, your argument is flawed

You can clearly see Willo was talking about this current window and I was saying I agreed with him that talk of Iniesta and Willian (in this window) was bonkers.

As for 5 years time that's crystal ball gazing.

I do wonder though whether the wage bill will be as significant this time around as the transfer outlay. I wouldn't mind keeping Benteke but 100K in wages is an awful lot to have sitting on your bench. He needs to start really.

Were WBA not in the position that FFP on wages meant that they had very limited scope in the market? Think I read that somewhere and we are now really quite high up in the wages table.

If we were to free that 100K up then that could perhaps cover the wages for 2 PL established players.

FFP is not an issue Parish has even stated this and doesn't know why people keep mentioning it.

WBA wages wise are not bad at all they need a rebuild and didn't want to spend to do it one of the reason Pullis was not happy.

Not sure how people come up with these figures players wages for quality cost 60+ that doesn't include all the other bonuses.

Benteke is on 120+ including everything if he is scoring 15+ a season then that is good value

Only the clubs know the true figures when it comes to the things like wages pay no attention to media reports.

Yes to all but injury prone Austin. James Maddison or Martin Waghorn or Leigh Griffiths would be my pick up front.

Aside from Guiata...
M. Antonio
Amadou
Solanke (loan)
Fredericks

Let’s remember that Dann, Sako, Wickham are all to return to the first team fold. As Hodgson keeps saying, we need to improve squad size so I can’t see many players such as Cabaye, Sako etc leaving unless they’re desperate to go for personal reasons.

No Dann for quite a while. I suspect he will miss pre-season and beginning of next. We may punt for a 1/2 season CB loan to cover him to the new year.

At this juncture, apart from Tomkins and Sakho we have Kelly who can play at centre-half and is far more comfortable here than at full-back.Riedewald can also play here and of course we signed Jach.

Finally a decent sset of suggestions. Personally I'm not a big fan of Antonio, to me he seems like all athlete and no footballing brain. I'd rather go for another out and out speedy winger or alternatively Shaqiri.

Solanke could be difficult as Klopp seems to rate him and has been bringing him on as a sub fairly often. He'll more than likely be in the match day squad for the CL Final too. Guess it depends on if they sign forwards in the window, but as Sturridge and Ings are likely to leave, I'd imagine Solanke will be there as cover for their front three.

Everyone has seen the emergence of RLC this season to the point that he now has a place in the World Cup squad. It would be great if we could start to get a healthy reputation from other managers as a club for blooding talent in order to give them regular first team opportunities.

Klopp may well recognise this and give Solanke the chance to be a 25-30 game per season player.

I believe he’d fit in really well in tens of style

Iniesta..perhaps...but then i'd like to see if he'd be tempted by an approach

Have a word with yourself.
