That's the spirit ! but totally unfounded optimism. 'Header from a corner'? Yes, Cahill got one from Eze against Newcastle but do you think Benteke would get anywhere near ? Possibly the new guy would and I really hope he gets a goal soon otherwise he will be dragged into the mire of a hopeless, demoralised side. Aside perhaps from Eze being allowed to play in a freer role I just can't see us scoring with the totally ineffective midfield Mr Hodgson persists in fielding. Luka, Kouyate are shocking, Reidewald at least shows some effort. Without Zaha a 0-1 (if lucky)or 0-2 is indicated and we can't expect Guaita to perform as Martinez did for Villa. (I'd give Butland an outing anyway)

They battered us at home earlier this season and we managed to nick a draw. At the time our players seemed vaguely motivated, which has gone now. We are back in the cannot be arsed run in phase, like we managed last year. If Brighton score, without Wilf we won't. Brighton win I am afraid.

The last two games I had expected a draw. I do appreciate that ,in hindsight ,was over optimistic of me. Learning from that I expect us to loose in a miserable manner, embarrassing and humiliating, There, that should do it. We still might get a draw though ! Edited by rob1969 (16 Feb 2021 8.29pm)

without the two macs and schlupp we only have Kouyate Luka and Jairo as out and out midfielders and making a solid midfield three out of what's available is no easy task, Luka's out of sorts and they don't really sit together naturally, I'd like to see us play those three with Eze and Ayew either side of a single striker

No fight and the usual negative tactics. Being outplayed by at team who has won one of their last 20 league games at home. I never leave games early even when getting tonked but just had enough of watching this sh1te at the moment!

Solly March is a big injury blow for Brighton. They will struggle to replace him at left wing back.
