A stand at Selhurst will be named after Steve Coppell one day in the future... and I really hope it’s in his lifetime so that he’s honoured properly.
George Courtney, the World Cup referee, everyone is looking at him. When will he blow....? |

The back to front stand. If its facing the car park the fans will get more entertainment looking at the parked cars.

Glad all over that you started this thread up there in Llandudno, n wales. It's given me, and others I suspect, a few laughs. I notice however that you didn’t make a suggestion of your own. Is that because you'd like to see it called the Alun Wynn-Jones Stand, but didn't have the nerve to say? Anyway, are the Great Orme goats still on the loose in town? Goats gone as humans invading the town again .If your ever up this way give us a pm and a few pints and chat about the John Jackson Roger hynd and Gerry queen era be good

I'd agree that the Steve Coppell Stand would be the out and out best/only option if we name it after someone. Only Crystal Palace would name a stand in honour of a man they have sacked 4 times.

The Ron Noades Stand ... only joking, I think the Steve Coppell Stand is the one if it's going to be named after a Palace legend, my personal preference is for Jim Cannon but overall I think honouring Sir Steve would be most fitting, although I wasn't a lover of his style of football it would be churlish in the extreme to allow that to detract remotely from his outstanding service to the club. I think the Steve Coppell Stand has a proper bit of 'cred' to it.
