Just had a look at a stat and apparently he lost the ball in his own half last season 73 times, 3rd highest in the league, can he possibly get away with this anywhere else? If not then he has to change his game, also possibly changing the player that we all know and love, suspect that stat alone is the reason he is still here.

He's not going anywhere. Every window he's linked to a move. He seems very settled here.

I’d assume that if he is not on the plane at the end of the week for the tour - then it’s highly likely he will be leaving the club.

He would lose a lot moving away from London. If I was him I’d sign a new 3 year contract with Palace and ask for another £40k a week. It would be a win-win for him and club. Edited by NE14T (11 Jul 2022 1.35pm)

This story seems to revolve around Palace offering Wilf about . Could be if he won’t be signing a contract, but surely at his age it wouldn’t just be a short of cash Roma, showing interest. He might have his critics but Wilf is still a real talent, and if he was for sale I suspect the papers would be full of people wanting him.

The story in the link seems to back your assertions up, they can 'only' offer 15m euro's + a young untried player.Tho when we sold Clinton to Brum that young lad who came to us as part of the deal, didn't do too bad.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

We have this debate every window. Personally I'd love to see Wilf, Eze and Olise in the same team on a regulat basis so I hope he stays. But, previously, it has felt vital that we keep him this time I don't feel it is. I don't want to see any of our highly talented players leave but, to me, it feels more important for the future of the club to keep Eze and Oiise.

So based on £15m + player, would the youngster get to spend 25% of his time at Old Trafford. Seriously though any cash valuation of that player would enhance Man U’s cut. Not worth it. End up with about £10 12m nett. Much will depend on Wilfs state of mind.

A key factor, to me which may be missing, is what promises have been made to Wilf? As we know from the Kane saga last year clubs do make promises to players regarding accepting offers for them. Not saying it's right or wrong just reality of modern football. Edited by Mwncisee (11 Jul 2022 4.56pm)
