A strange game. We looked like we were three leagues better than them for half an hour then PvA loses his head and suddenly everything goes to sh*t. Some very dubious challenges from Bristol City. I wouldn't be surprised to see a red card in the second half. If we continue attacking like we did in the first half I could see us winning this 4 or 5-2. If we carry on defending like we did in the first half the score could be anything!

Thing is, before Van Aanholt dragged them back in to the match, we actually looked quite sharp. The front 3 we're playing smart and Ruben and Jairo looked good on the ball.

We were cutting through them like butter and finishing aside we couldn't have done much more. We looked calm on the ball with some confident and accurate passing (though Puncheon still looks the weakest player in midfield even with our second string). Bristol City remind me of the Bristol City of old: thugs.

The defending is appalling - doesn’t matter what those in front of the defence do when we make mistakes as in the first half. Bristol only need to put it in the middle and they will score. As bad as PVA is, Kelly is far worse. Delaney needs to come on for him otherwise they will get a third and fourth. It doesn’t help that we are being gung ho and not protecting the defence by having no midfield - trouble now is that we need to score 2 to win and we haven’t a forward capable to do it - Grrrr!

Agree and they have only managed three shots on target and scored twice - mind you they could not really miss those. Our strike rate is good for us -8 - and 6 on target. Chances are we will get more goals if we continue that. Wonder if we should try Ladapo for Kaikai in the second half?

Hope Roy doesnt waste time to make some changes here. Souare must be on the bench for a reason and PVA has given Roy a HUGE reason to get him on. Namely being utterly sh&&&.
