One thing i have learnt is people on this site know nothing about the game, we had chances and never took them Roys fault as he wasnt on the pitch.

We played well in the first half and could have easily gone in at half time 2:3 down. With a bit more quality upfront and better defending, we may even have gone in level. Thier 4th, coming as early as it did in the 2nd half killed the game as a contest. For sure Liverpool were ruthless but our midfield and defence, inexplicably gave up.... completely. I couldve accepted going down by 4, maybe even, 5 but 7? That is unforgivable. We have not had a settled back 4 this season. Injuries to our backline has now become a constant. The issue of age magnified further by the games per week this season. Nor does our midfeild look too healthy. McArthur is a Palace stalwart but whatever pace he had is gone. We need a young 'McArthur'. Milivojevic has come in for a lot of criticism of late, most of it justified. However, during the first half, I was impressed by his passes down the channel that opened up Liverpool time and again. Townsend is a workhorse with an ability to drop a shoulder now and then. But as highlighted by Shlupp, Townsend, like McArthur, lacks pace too. Upfront Benteke looks like he's turned a corner. Though its too early to say whether its for real or flattering to decieve. Regardless direct competition is needed. Batsman is not it and nor is Ayew. To be fair, Batsman doesnt fit into the way we play and Ayew brings a different proposition. If it werent for Ayew's rustiness, we may have got a goal or two on Saturday. The forward line Eze, Shlupp, Zaha and Ayew played well despite the thrashing. Humiliated by Saturdays loss, for sure. Despondent about the future? Far from it but further improvements must be made.

Rude, arrogant and untrue. You forgot poorly phrased and incoherent. Apart from all the above, I reckon he nailed it.

To be fair 3-0 at half time didn't really reflect the game and two of the goals in the second half were from distance including the fourth which came 5 minutes in and started to make things really ugly. There were a lot of similarities between this game and the 9-0 at Anfield in 89 except that we actually created more clear cut chances at Anfield. I can remember Geoff Thomas hitting the post at 1-0 and missing a penalty later in the game. Andy Gray missed a one on one with Grobbelaar. Every time Liverpool shot they scored and very few were down to Perry Suckling who'd been decent for us.
