Lucky to only be one down. Ayew not getting the soft free kicks tonight. Ayes happy to shoot from outside the box but not from within it. Mateta some nice touches but hasn’t had any service. We have struggled to get the ball and keep the ball. We have had a couple of good positions but PVA and Jairo poor passes meant nothing came from them.
A disappointing half but nothing we aren’t used to.

Early days of course but first impressions are that Mateta is too similar to Ayew and benteke. They each want to show for the ball, and especially against a pressing team like Leeds we need a threat in behind them. Wouldn't be surprised to see bats come on.
